For many girls living in vulnerable contexts, education is not just about learning. It means overcoming barriers that should never exist: period poverty, unsafe and long distances to school, lack of resources, cultural stereotypes and more.
Girls around the world dream of becoming engineers, doctors, scientists, teachers, artists… The challenge should be the profession itself, not being a young woman from a vulnerable context.
At La Salle Foundation, scholarships are more than financial support. They address the real challenges girls face every day: access to education and learning materials, safe transportation to and from school, health and hygiene support, mentorship and family engagement.
Education Is the Most Powerful Investment.
A scholarship:
Overcomes the lack of financial resources, providing everything she needs to learn and thrive.
Supports her journey to school with safe transportation, every single day.
Includes mentorship and workshops to help families and girls believe in the power of education.
Makes her free to learn every day of the month by providing essential health and hygiene kits.
It is the key that unlocks her potential. And it is not just about her, an educated girl is more likely to invest 90% of her future income back into her family and community.
Your support helps girls around the world overcome obstacles and stay in school, not just on International Women’s Day, but every day of the year.
Kunda Dia Zayi Institute, DR Congo:
In a region where half of all girls do not attend school and only one in ten completes her education, La Salle promoted scholarships and vocational training opportunities.
La Salle College Keesara, India:
We implemented a student transport service to ensure safe travel to and from school, with a particular focus on increasing girls’ participation and guaranteeing equal access to education.
Lasallian Women of Hope, worldwide:
We address period poverty by providing hygiene supplies and education in vulnerable communities, helping remove barriers so girls and young women can stay in school.
Due to its location, the La Salle Foundation can provide tax relief only in Italy. If you reside outside of Italy, we can collaborate with you to identify a Lasallian partner in your home country, enabling a tax-deductible donation in support of the global Lasallian mission.
